There are many people in the President’s surrounding that are still not able to come to terms with his victory. They just don’t see that Americans are infuriated with failed policies and are desperate for a change.

Among those people, there are some specific Trump advisors who are forgetting that one of the reason Donald Trump won the presidency is because he made a promise to protect American jobs.

Now, there have been closed-door talks about how to calm President Trump’s trade intentions. He intends to be more strict in order to see results, but they are just too afraid of change.

This is precisely what makes them bad negotiators. Reportedly, China believes now that Trump may require them to pay huge taxes and their concerns have forced them to make some concessions.

According to a report from Business Insider, economists and policy analysts all had their eyes on the President, after he made a remark that hinted an important shift in American’s trade policy.

Allegedly, President Trump revealed that his administration was discussing a “reciprocal tax” on imported goods.

He said, during a White House meeting: “We won’t charge them anything and we send them our product, same product as they’re sending us; and they’ll charge us 50 and 75% tax — and that’s very unfair.” Trump also continued to say  “So we’re going to be doing very much a reciprocal tax, and you’ll be hearing about that during the week and during the coming months.”

Naturally, liberals were intimidated by this and they brought forward their statistics to help them out in proving that this would be a bad move.

An analyst at Cowen Washington Research Group, Chris Krueger, responded to their ridiculous concerns by saying, in a note to his clients : “In theory, Trump’s reciprocal tax would re-set the US tariff on all foreign imports to the tariff from the similar U.S. export.”

Krueger proceeded to say that, “While some might see this as the opening of a global trade war to end all global trade wars, some in the White House (likely including the Commander in Chief) believe that the U.S. is already in a global trade war…and losing bigly.”

It’s really a simple matter. If they wish to tax American goods than why shouldn’t America tax theirs.

After all, there can’t be anything wrong with protecting American jobs, can it?

What do you think about this?
